. Introduction
With the divine guidance and blessings of Sant Baba Iqbal Singh Ji, The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib, successfully organized the 109th Free Multi-Specialty Medical & Surgical Camp at Akal Charitable Hospital on the 5th and 6th of October 2025. The camp was conducted in collaboration with Akal College of Nursing, Eternal University, as part of the ongoing mission of serving humanity with compassion and providing holistic healthcare to the underserved population of Himachal Pradesh and neighboring regions.
2. Objectives of the Camp
● To provide free medical and surgical consultations, diagnostic services, and treatment to rural and underserved populations.
● To promote health awareness and preventive care through community-based education and screening activities.
● To enhance community participation in maintaining health and well-being.
● To strengthen collaborative efforts between healthcare providers, nursing students, and volunteers for public service.
3. Total Beneficiaries
A total of 925 individuals benefitted from the camp’s activities over two days.
Of these, 769 patients received outpatient department (OPD) consultations, and 156 participants attended the Oncology Awareness Session conducted for students and faculty.

4. Surgical Interventions
A total of 28 surgeries were performed during the camp, including 11 major and 17 minor surgeries.

● Cervical Polyp Biopsy – 1
● Right Foot Wart Removal – 1
● Left Elbow Lipoma Excision – 1
● Lipoma Removal (Elective) – 1
● Intra-Articular Injections – 13
All procedures were performed under sterile conditions by qualified surgeons with the assistance of skilled nursing and paramedical staff.
5. Oncology Awareness Session
A special Oncology Awareness Programme was conducted for 156 participants, including nursing students and faculty members. The session focused on cancer prevention, early detection, and lifestyle modifications, promoting awareness and reducing stigma associated with cancer screening and management.
6. Geographic Coverage
Beneficiaries attended the camp from within a 100 km radius of Baru Sahib, covering: Rajgarh, Nauradhar, Haripurdhar, Sangrah, Renuka, Solan, Paonta Sahib, Sirmour villages, and adjoining areas of Punjab and Haryana.
