School health program at Govt. Senior Secondary Schools, Bhanog & Ser Tendula, Rajgarh, Dist. Sirmour, Himachal Pradesh was organized in the November 2024. The initiative aimed to enhance student well-being by integrating innovative strategies and aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Health assessments were conducted for 300+ students to evaluate their physical and mental well-being. Awareness sessions covered personal hygiene, environmental sanitation, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, and body safety through "Good Touch and Bad Touch" workshops, equipping students with essential life skills. To enhance engagement, the program utilized technology, including digital presentations, videos, and visual aids, simplifying complex health concepts and fostering interactive learning. The event was facilitated by nursing students and faculty members. It successfully addressed key health issues, empowering students with knowledge to improve personal and environmental health while fostering safety and self-care.
This program emphasized the value of collaborative, technology-driven health education in achieving SDGs. By empowering students with essential knowledge and skills, it contributed to building healthier, sustainable communities and underscored the importance of multidisciplinary efforts in school health.
