Akal College of Nursing and Akal Charitable Hospital are steadfast in their commitment to community service, providing comprehensive healthcare through continuous outreach initiatives in 18 adopted villages around Baru Sahib throughout the Academic Year August 2024 to July 2025. These efforts aim to enhance the well-being of the underserved population, addressing their diverse healthcare needs through personalized household visits, health camps, and tailored interventions.

Key services include maternal health care, newborn and under-five child care, adolescent health programs, and elderly care, ensuring attention to all life stages. School health programs and first aid training equip younger generations with the knowledge to lead healthier lives, while mass awareness campaigns and mental wellness initiatives address pressing community health concerns. Activities promoting cleanliness and hygiene under the Swachh Bharat Mission further enhance the impact of these programs.

Nursing students and the Department of Community Health Nursing play a pivotal role in these initiatives, providing care with dedication and efficiency. Their active engagement in planning and delivering these services fosters a practical learning environment while making a meaningful difference in the community. This integrated approach reflects Akal College of Nursing's mission to deliver compassionate care and promote health equity at the grassroots level.
